  • Overview and Responsibilities

    Viacom Digital Studios is seeking a Supervising Producer to join the digital arm of BET. Top candidates will demonstrate a passion for content development, video production and a proven track record of leading a project from its earliest starting point through to delivery. As part of the BET Digital team, the Supervising Producer will work hand-in-hand with Development Execs and Production Management in ensuring that the best possible piece of content is produced and delivered on time and on budget. This is a hands-on role and a problem solving can-do attitude is a must.

    Responsibilities:

    • You will serve as senior liaison between VDS Production and BET Development Executives
    • You will collaborate with BET Execs at the earliest stage of an idea to develop content that aligns with the brands overall programming and financial goals
    • You will manage the day-to-day creative aspects of physical production for BET
    • Works with Producers to identify and craft the best creative workflow for each project within budget parameters
    • Work with BET Line Producer to ensure that the project is set up correctly with key hires and accurate resource allocation
    • Reviews the production plan with the Line Producer (creative, schedule, budget) for each East Coast BET project with an eye for creative quality
    • You will be the interface/point person with 3rd Parties and is responsible for managing the production and delivery of each 3rd party production
    • Nurtures up and coming talent and grows the database of up and coming/established Directors, Producers and Editors
    • Works closely with the Post Production Manager in post-production decisions and team assignments
    • Reviews cuts for each project with an eye for creative quality
    • You will lead the Production weekly and identify potential issues before they arise with thoughtful/concise input/next steps

    Basic Qualifications

    • Minimum 5-7 years of experience producing (Digital) short and long form video content
    • Experience within production budgeting and scheduling
    • You have a proven track record of working within development for all forms of digital content
    • Experience in leading a team of Production Managers, Producers and Editors
    • Experience producing unscripted, scripted, live, documentaries, green-screen, animation and daily

    Additional Qualifications

    • Expertise in Production Management
    • A deep understanding and knowledge of the digital landscape and content distribution
