Overview and Responsibilities

The Manager will report to Director, Mobile & Emerging Platforms and will partner with our Brand leads, Product and Partner Management team to support initiatives to drive new app installs and build engagement with our existing customers. The Manager will help develop, execute and analyze paid mobile and emerging platforms media campaigns specific to our TVE apps. The ideal candidate has experience managing digital marketing campaigns across social, search, OTT and mobile, with a commitment to performance-based results and data-driven insights.
The ideal candidate will be someone who is highly analytical, quantitative, who is also nimble and creative with the ability to think critically and incorporate data and testing into the decision-making process. This candidate will be able to build relationships with internal stakeholders and 3rd parties to help drive results.
Mobile & Emerging (M&E) Platforms team oversees strategy & operations, marketing, and customer support of domestic TVE apps for MTV, VH1, Comedy Central, Spike, Logo, TV Land and CMT as well as other brand apps. We manage new product launches, updates to current apps, app marketing and promotion. We also develop strategy for product/content expansion on new and emerging platforms and assess 3rd party tools and vendors to improve our apps.



  • Collaborate with brand stakeholders to develop and execute data-driven audience growth plans across all platforms
  • Assist with reporting and measuring the performance of audience development initiatives and optimizing them according to business goals
  • Use reporting and analytics to inform programs and measure results
  • Assist in the management of paid social and digital media campaigns to drive downloads
  • Research, specify and recommend appropriate new data or paid marketing tools
  • Partner with key internal stakeholders, including marketing, content and technology, to increase downloads, customer engagement and key KPIs
  • Maintain relationships with existing vendors and media partners to maximize performance, efficiency and to stay current with latest products and features
  • Create wrap-up decks and case studies for internal stakeholders

Basic Qualifications

  • BA or BS from accredited four-year university. Degree in media, marketing or communications a plus
  • 4+ years experience in media planning and buying, or equivalent experience at a publisher agency
  • Fluency in all aspects of app acquisition and re-engagement campaigns, including Facebook lookalike audiences, segmented audience targeting, App Store SEO, etc
  • Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Expert knowledge of Facebook Ads platform, Google Ad Words and Apple Search Ads, ad management platforms 
  • Experience in data-driven full funnel marketing optimization and analysis 
  • Experience driving data-informed targeting and segmentation marketing


Additional Qualifications

  • Ability to clearly articulate and present initiatives to creative and technical teams alike and build rapport with key stakeholders
  • Experience working with third party ad tracking and research vendors is preferred
  • Adobe Omniture and App Store Optimization (ASO) knowledge a plus
  • Grasp of analytics tools and ability to run reports, interpret data, and uncover insights
  • Familiarity with TV business, in general, and particularly TV Everywhere apps
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, time management, and attention to detail
