  • Overview and Responsibilities

    This position provides Executive Assistant support to the SVP of Talent and Series Development for MTV and VH1. The assistant will work on scripted, non-scripted and multiplatform projects and interface with senior level executives, talent, agents, managers, and producers daily.

     

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Desk coverage including answering calls and keeping detailed call sheets, scheduling meetings, and making travel arrangements for both talent and executives
    • Daily correspondence with internal and external personnel
    • Coordinating all necessary arrangements for meetings including reserving and preparing conference rooms and audio visual set up
    • Update current trackers of pitches, on air talent and general talent meetings
    • Maintaining cast lists across channels
    • Researching past, current, and upcoming talent ideas for development
    • Creating presentations of potential talent for ongoing scripted and non-scripted projects
    • Coordinate and execute talent offers, invitations, logistics and travel
    • Compile gifting ideas for talent
    • Tracking all talent deals for MTV and VH1 networks
    • Organize and maintain file system of talent deal memos, pitches and other materials   
    • Prepare and process expense reports using Concur   

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • At least 1 year of experience at an agency or at a network or studio in an administrative support role
    • Knowledge of music and television pop culture required
    • Must be fluent in pop culture trends, terminology, and talent
    • Knowledge of unscripted television series and talent across network and cable channels including MTV and VH1 required
    • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook  
    • Professional demeanor and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and external individuals   
    • Experience with editing programs Final Cut Pro and/or Avid
    • Self-motivated, highly organized and able to prioritize and work well under pressure
    • Demonstrated ability to use discretion and make sound judgment
