  • Overview and Responsibilities

    Viacom is seeking a Senior Manager of Digital Analytics to join the Corporate Research team. This role is a vital part of the research team, delivering data analytics and audience insights for both digital and social reporting and ad hoc analyses for Viacom across its brands including MTV, Comedy Central, BET and Nickelodeon as well as its competition and overall marketplace trends.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • This position is responsible for regular reporting on the health of the business to Viacom corporate stakeholders, managing the creation and distribution of weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports across Viacom digital and social properties
    • Leads research projects that drive strategic conversations and insights
    • Conducts ad hoc analyses on Viacom consumption and engagement as well as competitive and marketplace analyses
    • Responsible for the creation of quarterly earnings reports for Viacom digital
    • Focuses on digital & social content consumption but may also be involved in projects that require collaboration with linear and cross-platform teams
    • Interacts with senior management to keep abreast of performance and goal tracking
    • Works closely with peers on the individual brand teams to share information, maintain and improve cross-functional processes
    • Has a deep understanding of best practices and technical requirements for digital measurement and works with implementation teams to improve data integrity
    • Builds and enhances key relationships with internal clients and external relationships with analytics vendors
    • Proactively researches and tracks competitive products and trends to help inform key stakeholders and guide changes in strategies

    Basic Qualifications

    • 6+ years digital analytics experience (at a cable or broadcast network or ad agency is preferred)
    • Expertise across digital research and analytics tools including Adobe Analytics (Omniture), comScore, Nielsen and social media measurement
    • Fluency in data management, with a forward-thinking approach that allows the team to be flexible and efficient in times of high demand
    • Experience with accessing social platform data via web and API connectors

    Additional Qualifications

    • Detail oriented with the ability to communicate data-driven insights succinctly and effectively
    • Must work well under pressure while handling multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines
    • Strong MS Office and presentation skills, particularly with PowerPoint and Tableau
    • Working knowledge of R, Python or SQL a plus
    • People management experience
    • Bachelor degree in management or quantitative field
